What is WordPress?

WordPress is our software of choice when it comes to building websites. It’s largely an industry standard these days, and we’ve been working with it since it’s inception back in 2003/4.

We usually use Elementor pro alongside WordPress – this is software to design the webpages themselves.

Do you do search engine optimisation?

Yes, all of our sites are fully optimised for Google by default and other search engines as they are built.

We also offer an acclaimed monthly SEO service to build on the website – this is always bespoke, so please get in touch and we’ll be delighted to have a friendly, no-obligation chat about your needs.

Can you maintain my website?

Yes, absolutely. Because WordPress is always updating, any other plugins on the site update alongside it. But this doesn’t happen automatically, so we offer maintenance as a done for you service. You can read more about that on our website maintenance page.

Are your designs responsive?

All our sites are fully responsive, meaning they look great on desktops, laptops, tablets and phone.

Back in 2016, Google discovered that in the US and Japan, the perecntage of people viewing websites on mobiles (rather than desktops or laptops) had hit the tipping point of more than 50%. At this point, Google started using the mobile experience to rank their website search results, so a properly functioning and great performing responsive website is essential.

Who hosts the website?

Our state of the art green web hosting comes as a part of all our web design packages, with the first year’s hosting free. You are free to move your website at any point, to other hosting, should you wish.

How do you create a website?

We use a software called WordPress for the structure and another called Elementor Pro for the design. We give you a free Elementor Pro licence for the duration of you hosting with us.

When we build and design you a website, we’ll do the work out of the public gaze, but in a place you can see it. Only when you’re 100% happy will we unleash it on the general public.

What is a CMS?

CMS stands for ‘Content Management System’ and in plain English, that means that you can – if you choose – update it yourself.

We provide clear, plain English videos showing you how to do this as part of every package. It’s much simpler than you may think!

What client support do you offer after the website launch?

This is where we really differ from most companies! We consider the website launch to be the start of our relationship, not the end of it – that’s why many of our clients have been with us for 10-20 years.

We are always ther on the end of the phone or email to help you with any issues you may have or ways you may want to move forward.

Do you offer content creation and copywriting services as part of your web design packages?

Yes!

Our director Gerard Evans is an internationally published author (books about music, using the nom de plume George Berger). His last book has been translated into 7 languages, including Japanese, where he shares a publisher with George Orwell.

He has 25 years of writing web content that is clear, flows beautifully and is fully optimised for search rankings.
